A couple of literature majors who fell in love with the internet in the early days — and turned that obsession into 25 years of helping mission-driven organizations thrive.
Our Story
SageRock Inc. was founded in 1999 as a Search Engine Optimization consulting company. This led, as one can imagine, to optimizing Google AdWords and then Facebook and then all social media. And then folks started asking, “Can you also design our website and optimize YouTube and help us claim Google Business and our LinkedIn page?” You get the idea.
By 2005, SageRock Inc. had grown into a 20-person Digital Marketing Agency working with big brands all over the U.S. The recession of 2008 scaled us back to a six-person company — and after 15 years of running an agency, older (and maybe wiser) Sage and Rocky went back to passion projects and consulting.
What Drives Us
Sage is a homelessness advocate. Rocky is passionate about Waldorf education. So our consulting naturally centered around the non-profit space and mission-driven organizations doing work that makes the world better.
We like to work for clients that resonate with our values — those interested in high-quality work for a purpose that makes their clients’ and customers’ world better in some way.

Where We Are Today
SageRock has evolved into an AI-focused technology partner — building custom tools, managed email marketing platforms, and school administration systems for the organizations we believe in. We are small by design, deeply invested in every client we work with, and proud to have been at this since 1999.
